This week's scripture reference:

I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me. Psalm 120:1

After the Prayer Call:

Prayer is a discipline to keep us focused on God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. When we are faced with various tribulations and trials, we can utilize our faith with prayer as the tool to invite God into our situations and circumstances.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.  James 1:2-12

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.. James 5:16-18 NLT

From our Prayer Call this morning, we are reminded to apply Joy and Peace to our day and routine.

God’s Joy gives us strength, and God’s Peace will override any distress.

The Joy of the Lord is my Strength, Nehemiah 8:10

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

God is consistent, steadfast, and forever faithful.

God is consistent, steadfast, and forever faithful. (no variation or shifting shadows James 1:17). Therefore, our prayers are with a trusted source.

This weeks scripture reference: James 1:17 MSG and ESV

So, my dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from their Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (No shifting shadows

Study scriptures:

Malachi 3:6; Psalm 102:27; Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2; Genesis 12:2-3; Hebrews 13:8

Jesus encourages us to keep asking

From the Prayer Call this morning, just a reminder to partner and couple with the Holy Spirit who is your Advocate and Comforter. The Holy Spirit will give you peace of mind and heart, comfort and direction. Let us plan to remember to couple and partner with the Holy Spirit. Our lives will only improve with our efforts.

Scripture reference: John 14:25-27 NLT I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

From an article by Justin Torres. He shares how the Holy Spirit will change us and our lives. He mentioned that the Holy Spirit will:

· Make us more like Jesus the Christ

· Will give us the power to witness the love of God

· Guide us to truth and reveal the hidden things

· Help us understand and reveal God’s Word

· Connect us to other believers and help us connect to a positive community

Study scriptures: Luke 11:9-13; Luke 11:1-2; Philippians 4:6; Psalm 5:3; Ephesians 1:17

We can do all things through Christ

Let us use God’s word to bring us reassurance that God will enable us to live our lives strengthened and empowered through all the seasons (current situations and events) of life.

Philippians 4:13 Amplified Bible (AMP):

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose – I am self-sufficient in Christ sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Through the inner strength that Jesus and the Holy Spirit provide us gives us the supernatural capability to live a life above our circumstances and not have our experiences on top of us. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

For this week, the study scripture is:

Philippians 4:13 Amplified bible I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Also, there is power in our words, so here are positive affirmations to remind us to speak words of power over your life and circumstances. You do have a purpose, and you do add value.

-I set the course of my life today with my words (James 3:2-5)

-I declare today that I cannot be defeated, discouraged, or disappointed. (Deuteronomy 30:19; Nehemiah 8:10; Psalm 103:1-3; 2 Timothy 1:6,7)

-I expect the best day of my life spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and financially in Jesus’ name. (Romans 15:13)

-I am the head. I have insight. I have wisdom. I have ideas. I have authority. (Deuteronomy 28:13; Deuteronomy 8:18; James 1:5-8 and Luke 10:19)

Scripture and Study for this week

Philippians 4:7 KJV…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In the midst of the most trying of times and difficulties, through
Christ Jesus, we can have continual peace – the peace of God.

A peace that doesn’t come and go, rather a peace that is stable
consistent and true.

A peace that will surpass the reaction you would typically have during challenging times.
